Transguard Group and March Networks provide security solution for Sevens

DUBAI, UAE, 2nd January 2009 - March Networks, working in conjunction with Transguard Group, has been selected to provide the video management system software and IP cameras for advanced security at the Emirates Group's new state-of-the-art sporting venue in Dubai. The first phase of the VideoSphere solution was deployed at this year's Emirates Airlines Dubai Rugby Sevens tournament.

The venue includes six rugby pitches, a grandstand for up to 40,000 spectators, staff and player facilities, a 15,000 vehicle parking area, and a cafe and entertainment promenade. The system will include security staff with centralized, live monitoring at an on-site command and control centre, as well as high-quality video recording via 85 cameras located throughout the venue.
